HELLO, MY NAME IS KIM VU
I’m a Vietnamese graphic designer with a strong foundation in studio art, blending traditional methods with modern digital practices. My work is driven by my passion for creating designs that evolve with the ever-changing landscape of art and technology. Whether working with paint brushes or digital platforms, I aim to create visual experiences that are both timeless and adaptable. I specialize in illustrative design, branding, and marketing, using my studio art background to bring a unique, creative touch to each project.
I'm a curiosity-driven explorer
From a young age, I was exposed to the evolving technology and world of the internet. I was immersed in a world of animation, comic books, and gaming—passions that inspired my creative journey from a young age. However, as someone raised in a bilingual environment, I often found it challenging to express myself through words alone. That's when art became my voice. Whether through drawing, design, or digital media, I turned to creativity as a way to communicate and connect with others that had similar interests. Lately, I’ve been channeling that passion for precision and detail into learning the art of tattooing. It’s a whole new medium, but the process of working with skin as my canvas feels like a natural extension of my design background.
OUTSIDE OF THE STUDIO
I'm also a passionate car enthusiast, intrigued by the design, mechanics, and culture that surround motorsports. I love attending car meets, where you can find with my camera capturing all the unique builds. When I’m not at meets, you’ll find me out on my Kawasaki Nina 400 bike, enjoying the thrill of the ride and documenting my journeys through videos. The freedom of the open road and the adrenaline of riding are as much a form of expression for me as my work in design—both allow me to explore new perspectives and push boundaries when it comes to viewing the world.
